Aghagogan
Aghagogan is a townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the historic barony of Omagh East and the civil parish of Termonmaguirk and covers an area of 949 acres.[1]
The name derives from the Irish: Achadh Ogáin (Hogan's field), Achadh Ui Ógáin(O'Hogan's field) or achadh goigin (Field where giddy headed people congregate).[2]
Barry McElduff, Sinn Féin MLA, is from Aghagogan and is an advocate for increased use of townland names in Northern Ireland.[3]

The townland contains two Scheduled Historic Monuments: a wedge tomb (grid ref: H6391 7360) and a standing stone (grid ref: H6398 7351).[6]
