Bandar dayyer (Persian: بَندر دَیِّر‎‎; also Romanized as Bandar-e Deyyer; also known as Deyyer, Deyr, Daiyir, Dayer and Qal’eh Dīr)[1] is a city in and capital of Deyr County, Bushehr Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 18,454, in 3,882 families.[2] Bandar Deyr was a prominent commercial port in the Persian gulf,[3] and the Jewish settlers were dominating the local market[4]
