Dorthe Nors
Dorthe Nors in 2015
Dorthe Nors (born 20 May 1970 in Herning) is a Danish author and writer. She is the first Danish author to be published in the American magazine The New Yorker.[1]
For a short while Nors studied religion science but changed to studying Nordic literature and art history. In 1999 she graduated from university.[2][3] Before Nors made her literary debut in her own name she worked as a translator of Swedish crime novels, mostly books by author Johan Theorin.[4] In 2002 she made her debut with the book Soul, published by Samlerens Forlag.[3]
In 2015 her short story collection Karate Chop was published in English alongside her novella Minna Needs Rehearsal Space.
