Idein Ventures is a venture capital and private equity[2] firm based in UAE,[3] active from the year 2015.[4]

History

Idein Ventures was founded by US based solution architect Mahesh Vellaboyina,[5] serial entrepreneur Ashwin Srivastava[6][7][8] and UAE based technopreneur Rajeshwar Prasad.

Rajeshwar Prasad is also an Ex-Officio Cabinet Minister in Republic of Guinea-Bissau.[9] Ashwin Srivastava was a part of Incept,[10] Tech Anipr, FindURClass, among others.[11] He is a graduate from IIT Bombay[12] and is an SME mentor and advisor.[13]

Investments

Idein Ventures invests in seed capital of startups and growth capital of companies.[14][15] Amongst its disclosed investments are, seed investment in Qriyo Infolabs Pvt Ltd,[16][17][18] seed investment in Infurnia Furnishings Pvt Ltd,[19][20][21] seed investment in land bank REstate,[22] two investments in construction commerce company BuildTraders.[23] Amongst its undisclosed investments are, investments in last mile delivery startup and real estate startup.[24][25]

Qriyo Infolabs is a company in the domain of fitness[26] and home learning.[27][28] In February 2016, it used the investment to launch a new program for teacher recruitment in Jodhpur, India.[29] Infurnia Furnishings is a Bangalore based technology company in the domain of virtual reality.[30][31] Its current market focus is India and Asia.[32]

Idein Ventures also seed-funded UAE based ZoEasy Solutions, which uses disruptive technology to connect businesses and consumers with their ideal blue collar workforce.[33]

Achievements

Idein Ventures is among 'Top Venture Capital Firms in India' ranked 15th in a survey by SutraHR.[34] |It has been active in organizing workshops and sponsorship in leading colleges and B-Schools in India, including IIT Bombay,[35] IIT Kharagpur,[36] SJMSOM, VJTI, BITS Pilani etc.
