The Jhinwar, also known as Kashyap Rajput, is a Hindu caste and Sikh caste found in the states of Haryana and Punjab in India. They are also known as Mehra or Mehre. A smaller number of Kashyap Rajput are Sikh.
Traditionally, the Jhinwar community was associated with occupations such as boating,[1] carrying water[2] and river fishing.[3]
