Knipperdolings
The Knipperdolings were an Anabaptist Christian denomination, named after Bernhard Knipperdolling.
Characteristics
- Knipperdolings taught that the righteous before the day of Judgment should have a monarchy on earth and the wicked be destroyed
- men are not justified by their faith in Christ
- there is no original sin
- infants ought not to be baptized
- immersion is the only mode of baptism
- every one has the authority to preach and administer the sacraments
- men are not obliged to pay respect to magistrates
- all things ought to be in common
- that it is lawful to marry many wives.[1]
