Kylian Mbappé Lottin (born 20 December 1998) is a French footballer who plays as a striker for Ligue 1 club AS Monaco.[2]
Club career
Youth career
Mbappé started out at AS Bondy, where his father Wilfried was a coach. A stint at the famous Clairefontaine academy followed, before a host of impressive performances had numerous French clubs attempting to sign him. Mbappé ultimately settled on AS Monaco.[3]
Monaco
2015-2016
Mbappé made his Ligue 1 debut on 2 December 2015 in a 1-1 home draw against Caen, replacing Fábio Coentrão after 88 minutes, becoming Monaco’s youngest-ever debutant aged 16 years 347 days and breaking Thierry Henry’s record set 21 years ago.[3][4] On 20 February 2016, Mbappé scored his first goal, a stoppage-time goal in a home Ligue 1 3–1 win over Troyes; at the age of 17 years and 62 days, becoming the youngest goalscorer in Monaco's history — displacing Thierry Henry in the process.[5][6] On 6 March 2016, Mbappé signed his first professional contract, a three-year deal, tying him Monaco until June 2019.[7]
International career

Mbappé capped a fine, debut senior season at AS Monaco by scoring five times for France as they won the 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, the striker almost single-handedly securing their spot in the final with a sparkling performance in their 3-1 defeat of Portugal in the semi-finals.[3]
Personal life
Mbappé's father (Wilfried, who hails from Cameroon) is a football coach and also his agent, his half-brother Jirès Kembo Ekoko is also a professional football player and his mother (Fayza) is a former handball player.[3][8]
