Luke 23 is the twenty-third chapter of the Gospel of Luke in the New Testament of the Christian Bible. It records the events in the crucifixion day of Jesus Christ.[1] The book containing this chapter is anonymous but early Christian tradition uniformly affirmed that Luke composed this Gospel as well as Acts.[2]

Verse 55
- And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid.
- "The women" were "Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them" (Luke 24:10).[3]
