Michael Eldon

Michael Hartley Eldon (8 August 1931 - 11 February 2011) was an Anglican bishop in the 20th century.[1][2]

Born on 8 August 1931 [3] and educated at St Catharine's College, Cambridge he was ordained in 1955.[4] After curacies in Nassau he spent nine years on Grand Bahama, becoming archdeacon of the island. In 1971 he was appointed Suffragan Bishop of New Providence[5] and a year later the first Bahamian[6] Bishop of Nassau,[7] resigning 24 years later.
