Osamu Sato (佐藤理 Sato Osamu, born April 14, 1960 in Kyoto, Japan) is a Japanese digital artist, photographer, and composer. His first work was the abstract typographical collection "Alphabetical Orgasm", exhibited in Tokyo in November 1991.[1] His first work in the video game industry was Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou, first released for the Macintosh in May 1994, and Microsoft Windows in 1995.[2] In 1998, he produced and composed the music for LSD on the Sony PlayStation, which later became his most recognizable work outside Japan.[3][4]
