This is a list of Presidents of Mauritania since the formation of the post of President of Mauritania in 1961 to the present day.
A total of four people have served as President of Mauritania (not counting five Military non-Presidential Heads of State and one Acting President).
The current President of Mauritania is Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, since 5 August 2009.
