Samantha Brick is a British writer, producer and freelance journalist.[1]
In 2012 Brick published an article on the Daily Mail website titled 'There are Downsides to Looking This Pretty': Why Women Hate Me for Being Beautiful.[2] The perception of her arrogance caused the article to go viral on social media websites and Brick trended globally on Twitter.[3] The article got 1.5 million hits on the newspaper's website and nearly 5,000 readers left comments, many of which were negative.[4]
Brick appeared on RTÉ's chat show, The Late Late Show on Friday 13 April 2012.[5]
Brick was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother 10.[6] On 31 August 2012 she became the fourth person to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house.[7]
Brick claims to have launched the careers of both comedian Russell Brand and presenter Tess Daly.[8]
