Terry Ray Bankert is a Flint, Michigan politician, former City of Flint Ombudsman and lawyer.
Political career
Bankert was appointed in 1983 Flint City Clerk and served until being appointed Flint City Ombudsman in 1987.[1] He ran for Flint 7th Ward City Council seat in 2005 losing in the nonpartisan primary to Jim Ananich and Clyde D. Edwards.[2] In 2009, Bankert was a number of lawyers under consideration to be appointed by Governor Grandholm for the vacancy in the position of Probate Judge for Genesee County caused by the death of the judge.[3]
