- 1156 - Town wall rebuilt.[3]
- 1232 - St Mary's hospital founded.[3]
- 1250 - Grey friary established.[1]
- 1276 - Carmelite friary established.
- 1284 - Nottingham Goose Fair begins.[2]
- 1330 - "Young king Edward III and a group of conspirators crept through a secret tunnel into the city's castle and took prisoner Roger de Mortimer, a nobleman who had until then effectively been England's ruler."[4]
- 1392 - Plumptre Hospital founded.
- 1474 - St Mary's Church built (approximate date).
