Belleville, Missouri

Not to be confused with Bellville, Missouri.

Belleville is an unincorporated community in Jasper County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.^[1]

History

Belleville was named after a mining official.^[2] Variant names were "Bellville" and "Zincite".^[1] A post office called Zincite was established in 1885, and remained in operation until 1918.^[3]
